no it don't but then again it could depending on the words that followed it and what the topic was about
if someone jsut came up to you and said "Hey I dig you" most likely the admire your appearance or y our personlity.
if you go up to a guy and say i really like you and if he says i dig you too then that means he likes you!
dig and love are two spereate words! but if someone is obsessed with loving someone then yeah Dig could mean love in there eyes!
well good luck
Mad luv

Heck no. If someone says I dig you instead of I love you I think I would have to slap them. If it is someone I really love. They don't even compare to the same meaning.

"I did you" is a convenient way to avoid personal commitment to the word "love" which one knows is dishonest if stated without being true.
Also, "I dig you" is often stated by those who are actually saying I like you mimicking me.
It's also said by those affecting being hip, cool, or delusionally special. In essence it is uttering a learned phrasing, like most rap talking, that is important to those uttering it.... and to people with limited maturation.

Words can have any meaning you want; if the other person knows what you mean, it works even better. You could even tell someone "my toes ache for yours" and make it just as special as "i love you."

I think it's more, I fancy you... I don't know, it's very american isn't it? If it's in a note then it's I fancy you, if two blokes are talking and one goes 'ah, yeah I dig you now' then that'd be I understand you. I'm not really sure, just don't use it!
