You cant!!! Ever heard actions speak louder than words? He will have to see it to believe it, thats like you saying to your family why dont you like my boyfriend who they are meeting fort he first time. Give it some time, you cant change your family and you cant and shouldnt try changing your man. Only time will tell.

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink. Expose him to your family at pleasant functions. Get him talking with family members. Say good things about them to him, but don't bother trying to force them on him. This should improve matters over time, but, if it doesn't, you may need to dump Brett and move on. Your family is a part of you, and if he finds that part of you unacceptable, he will probably find other things about you unacceptable too.

You can't convince him to like your family, it will happen in time. As long as he respects them, then I wouldn't worry about it.
