Can I marry in Las Vegas and get an autentic Certificate of Marriage of that ceremony even I am married right now with that person (same). If the actual marriage was celebrated in Italy or in Puerto Rico, are the same rules applicable. Thanks.

Regardless of where and when you were married, you can get "married" in Las Vegas and get an authentic certificate. However, in a U.S. court of law, the previous certificate is the legally binding certificate.

The United States does recognize marriage certificates from abroad (i.e. a couple married in Italy is still married in the U.S.). However, to receive tax benefits, etc. you will need to provide documentation from that country. As a note, marrying in Italy is extremely complicated and you will need professional help to set it up and make sure you've gotten all of the paperwork right. There are companies in Italy that are specifically set up to help foreigners marry.

If you plan to marry abroad, I recommend finding a company that operates out of the specific area of the country you've chosen and that specializes in dealing with wedding planning and paperwork. They will charge a fee, but it is worth it. The country's official web site or board of tourism should be able to provide you with references to these businesses.

Another option is to marry in the United States and then to just do a ceremony in Italy or Puerto Rico. This is VERY common as it avoids a lot of hassle.

As far as Vegas is concerned, yes. My husband and I went for our 10 year anniversay and re-newed our vows at the Flamingo Hotel and Resort. I have a certificate from there as well. I have no clue with regard to Italy or Puerto Rico.

You can definetly get married in Vegas even if you are in another state. My ex husband and I were not even divorced yet and he married another woman in Vegas. He had to get it annulled 2yrs later and had to get his divorce papers from michigan in order to do so. He had to show proof that he was married at the same time in another state LOL LOSER!!!!
