You never know when you may need a good reference or something. Never burn bridges that you may need to cross again. You should support him. Not only will they be impressed by his professionalism, he'll get a chance to rub it in their faces that he's moving on to better things. What better way to show off than to show up looking dashing with a beautiful woman on his arm. You'll make him feel like a king, trust me.

Let him go...
It's a professional thing and just good business practice in general.
heres a novel idea. Why don't you go with him, be courteous and supportive for him regardless of how YOU may feel about HIS bosses.
make a gracious appearance, make him proud, then take him home and make sweet love to him into the night.

If they treated him like crap and he wants to go, there's nothing you can do about it. That's his decision, as stupid as that decision may be if he goes. But ask him (if he says he wants to go) why the hell he should bother hanging out with them after they pooped on him when he was their employee?!

Hey its free drinks what the hell. How is it that you can "let" him go? He is your boyfriend not your child. If possible and he 'wants' you there, why not go with?

I wouldn't go unless he wants to and say go screw yourselves to them. Why would he want to go? I think they are asking him to go so they can continue to make fun of him. Why would he subject himself to that? I would try to talk him out of it. Good luck!
