Emperor, wich is the kings' king.
Under that obviously prince, but mostly you are born into that.

For a nobleman not from the royal house, DUKE it is.

In the UK is is the live peerage Baron it only for life.
In Spain they have hereditary titles i.e Duke, Marquis etc.
It depend on some countries. The Dutch government has banned the royal family from granting titles only to member of their own royal family. The Belgians grant the highest order which is Baron again it hereditary. Sweden and Norway don't grant titles anymore to its citizens. The highest title a monarch can give to their off springs is Prince or Duke.

This one is easy!I love history!The highest title A nobleman can be is A duke.The only thing hirer is kings and princes.So if he were A king or A prince he wouldn't be A nobleman he would be royalty.
