I am a teacher at the Wansumpoon Indian School on the Lykiwannalikit Indian Reservation in Idaho, and I've been telling my class this for the last couple of years. I know it's not true, and a lot of the kids go home crying and whining, but I think it serves a greater purpose by instilling in their minds the idea that President Bush is evil.

Why would you lie to school children? Yes, it's wrong. If you have to make a political point, why not just tell them the truth about what's going on in the world and skew it to fit your views? Or better yet, tell them the truth and let them think for themselves? Why on Earth would you lie to children about Santa?

Besides, do Indian children have that strong a belief in Santa to begin with? I thought Santa was an icon derived from western religion and wouldn't be a big figure in Indian life?

If you're a licensed teacher, I hope your administration doesn't find out. That kind of crap could get you fired, no?

How dare you lie to kids and tell them that Pres. Bush killed Santa Clause?!?!?!? Just because you have your own personal feelings about our President don't give you the right to lie to kids and make them cry. If you were a teacher in the school system where I live and my kids came home crying because of that, I'd be going to the school board to have your worthless hide fired. Because you don't deserve to teach kids with an attitude like that.

I live in Idaho and my son goes to an Elementary school here. If he came home and told me that his teacher said that, I would call the District Office and complain. That is your opining. There are many people out that like Bush and if you don't, you cannot voice that opinion in a Public School.

Yes, but you are lying to them, which is setting a horrific example. Plus, you have effectively killed Santa in their minds, and have dumped the problem in their parents' laps. Please, as a fellow teacher, either quit, or think about the lies you tell you students before you tell them. How on Earth have you survived three years of doing this without being reprimanded or tarred and feathered?

Who do you think you are. You live on a reservation, the Indians dont pay taxes, so what gives you the right to knock the president, and besides you said yourself that you know it isnt true so why would you do that to children, and Bush isnt evil, he is trying to rid this world of evil.

What you are doing is EVIL

Yes it is wrong! What kind of a teacher are you? ...lying to those kids and are instilling in their minds YOUR opinions rather than giving them the truth and letting them decide for themselves. As a teacher you are supposed to be setting an example as well as educating them. What kind of example are you setting when you lie to them? When did educating them include forcing them to believe your political views/opinions?

You should have posted this question in riddles and jokes. Obviously you are not only NOT a teacher, but your sense of humor is only starting to rise above the level of gross. I'll give you an E for effort.

You are SUCH a kidder!!!! Leave the poor little tots alone...BUT, if you must trash-talk Dubya, why not give them some straight talk about his regime, uh, I mean administration. Many American soldiers have been murdered by him and Dicky Cheney & Co. - as a result of "our" Dirty Little War.
