OK, I could be TOTALLY making this up, but I swear I remember watching a scary movie all the time with a floating black cloak with green light coming from behind it when one of the character's opened a door in a shop... maybe??? Maybe the bride of Frankenstein was in it??? Not a cartoon, it had real people in it. Maybe I should stop smoking crack...

i promise that you are not going crazy...i remember it too!....and i think that the bride of frankenstien was in it...i just can't remember the name..."castle freak" jumps to mind, but i don't think that is it...sorry!

I was a scary movie FREAK back in the 80s so I guess you could consider me an expert in this matter, and I can honestly say that your description does not ring a bell. Crack is my final answer.
