Did the manager bring the case in his or her own name, or on behalf of the LLC? What's the caption of the case, in what state and what court was it brought?

Depends on eacy case. But if there is an authorization by the partners of the LLC it should be fine

Did the manager (I assume a managing member) sign the complaint or hire a lawyer to do it? Some states don't allow managers to do so. Some do on small claims cases.
