Will the c-section scar remain raised, will it flatten out or at least blend in somewhat with the rest of my skin color? How long did it take for yours to blend in somewhat?

It'll fade, but never truly go away.

Well the scar will never go away it's there for life but it will blend in with you skin color once it heals. I still have mine and from time to time my scar itch so be prepared for that but the icision is so thin it's not gone to show because they cut you under your biniki line so it should not be a bad looking once it heals. Just keep it clean with peroxide. You be numb right in that area for a little while but it's okay. Just be happy you had a healthy baby if your man has a problem with that scar tell him he doesn't have to worry about it cause he will never see your jewels again.

No, it never goes away. They fade with time and sometimes respond well to scar treatments like Mederma, but they don't ever completely go away. The scar is really low on the abdomen, close to the pubic bone. Most clothes, even low-rise jeans, easily cover it.

It will not go away....it does loose the red after a while, but don't worry about it. The most important thing is that you and your baby are healthy and happy. I have had three C-sections (they just keep going through the same place) and I could care less...my husband doesn't even notice it.

my son is now six months and I have a light red line that is raised. I have been told countless times that cocoa butter will reduce the color faster-I just keep forgetting to do it! :) It will eventually blend it, of that I am confident. Just think of the mark like a soldier's scar-you sacrificed for your child and it was worth every minute you have with him/her now!

Mine went away, on its own. It took time. I didint rub anything on it because there is no scientific proof that they do anything for you! Like those cocoa butter myths. I used it 3 times a day because I was terrified to get a strech mark and i got them anyway. Did you get a bikini cut?

I had my C-Scetion in Febuary (7 1/2 months ago) , My scare has Faded Alot since. it still feels numb , but Cocoa butter will help it fade too. Mine started to go down about the time it started to fade.

6 years later, it is still raised but much, much smaller than initially. It faded to the rest of my skin color, but it is still very noticable. Good news is that most bikini bottoms cover it quite nicely. I think it took nearly a year to start looking "normal"...if that makes any sense.

It will eventually fade and not be so pronounced. But if you would like to help it along try a cream. Like maderma, or lotions.
