The only thing that has ever helped with my cramps are 3-4 Aleve Pills and a nice long bath.

Take Advil or some other type of Ibruprofin every 4-5 hours. Don't even wait for the pain of cramps to come back, just take the pain relievers every 4-5 hours for the first 1-2 days of your period.

Additionally, you can use a hot pad on your lower tummy to help a bit too.

I exercise it sounds painful, but the movement of the muscles in the surrounding area of the abdomen helps to alleviate the pain. Also you take a hot bath and pop a couple Ibuprofen or non-aspirin tylenol. If that doesn't help then try a heating pad. I sometimes do all these just to make sure I can be comfortable later. Hope you feel better.

I have the worst cramps ever (death would be better) and the best thing, the only thing that ever worked for me was Midol Extreme......it lasts for 12 hours and is the best thing since sliced bread at the time. Also massage your stomach softly while in a hot bath.

Ibuprofen and the heating pad. If they are really bad your doctor can prescribe medication that can help. I suffered for years with cramps Muscle relaxers helped some. Now I am all dried up and don't have to worry about that any more. But I do sympathize with those who still suffer.

i have had the same problem in the past and my doc gave me good advice. she told me to start taking motrin about 3 days before you are due. it causes lighter bleeding and also helps with the pain obviously. she told me that if i take 400 mg then take that same 400 mg every 4 hours, if its 800 mg then take it every 8 hours so for every hour its 100 mg.
