When I used to play competition darts, one member of our team made a very good living as a psychic. One Saturday when we were playing an away match, we were well and truly thrashed. The psychic said to me, 'If I'd known that was going to happen I wouldn't have come.' !!

Psychics need to eat. They buy their food using money provided to them by non-psychics. The best place to find lots of non-psychics willing to part with their money is at a psychic fair. The problem is how do you get the non-psychics to attend? ...........obviously you advertise! :-)

People think that psychics know about everything before it happens. This is not true. We are limited in what we are allowed to know and in the information we are given. (Which is good. Can you imagine how boring life would be if you always knew how things were going to turn out.)

The guy who made the Harry Potter quote, theyuks, is quite right. The spiritual guides tend to only provide really important information. They aren't too concerned with the mundane every day things.

Well, if you've read the Harry Potter books, you'd know the answer to this... Professor Sybil Trelawney says that she doesn't have time to look forward into trivial matters, because she has more important things to predict with her abilities than mundane matters. Same applies for those psychics who miss appointments due to unforseen circumstances -- they're more concerned with predicting the end of the world or the next big crisis, not traffic jams or sudden toothaches.

Typically they need to advertise because their customers are not usually psychic. If the customers were psychics I doubt they would waste their money.

Giggle. Maybe for the same reason we don't have psychic weathermen - no one wants the responsibility of having people call them up to complain if they're wrong.

You'd think they'd know, wouldn't you? Guess this is just proof they don't. The 1-800 psychic people always want to know your credit card number, too! Hey, if they're psychic, they should already know!
