no u dont, u could ask him if he likes u ,but not in a direct way, go along the lines of, find out what he likes and see if u have alot in common and then tell him that it only makes sense for you to get to know one another since you have so much in common.

most common ways of attracting a guy is to completely ignore him. act as if he does not exists. ofcourse it may fail very rarely.
