What you need to do first is to listen to all kinds of media (conservatives, liberals or in between). Then, you should dissect each notion logically and Analise it accordingly. If it sounds logical, then accept it. If it does not, reject it despite of your own beliefs. Very Simple!

How true Steve.
Of late The media has been spreading more propaganda and its slant to gain the people's confidence in that all is OK and are isolated events, not the true entire story. when they say that 24 Iraq's have been found slain in a ditch you can better bet it score is 4x higher. All media in its beginnings were not because of the programming, rather for medium for advertising(that's where the bucks come from) masters at deception fed bull from governments and with no research into the topic what so ever. My tolerance for this crap is coming close to a new high and My wishes are that other people who have the capability to differentiate and disseminate the lies in the way that media are utilizing it for would form a coalition against.
I am not a religious person, but one magazine I like to get the scoop on is the Christian Science Monitor, they come very close to truth. I concur with you sentiments.

I think far too many people like having their news/opinions served to them in easily digestible sound bytes. It sure beats having to see past the distortions, omissions and biases to find the truth, then take that truth, weigh it against your beliefs and feelings and perceptions and what you know or think is true and, questioning your own logic for bias, fit it into your worldview.
I know that there are right-leaning newsfolks and media people and commentators, and I understand they have a bias - I acknowledge that it colors their perceptions and I account for that. What I don't understand is why so many people vehemently refuse to see the left-leaning bias of so much of network news and other major media.
When I watch Britt Hume or Neil Cavuto, I know their tilt. Same if I watch Katie Couric or listen to NPR. Why do so many not see what is so patently obvious?

Thank you! It's good to know that someone else sees the goofy media for the manipulative organization that they are. It takes longer to get the information the way we go about it, but its closer to the truth. And that is all I care about.

They just don't care. I try to listen to several sources a day on radio and tv for news. For the most part they all have a slant one way or the other but I try to really be fair and balanced when I formulate my opinions.
Have a great day!!!

We get information from media, even if it is biased, and then claim to be informed. There is no other alternative.
