No, the lotion is good, use it every day. Its what youre shaving with. You need a better razor and a thick ,rich cream to shave with. This will cause less bumps. I dont get any since I changed the cream I was shaving with.

I use a GOOD electric razor (Panasonic ES8095NC fur cutter). It's a wet dry razor - I usually use it in the shower. It is very important that you keep the razor clean (I use an antibacterial soap on the screen and blades after each use).
I find that any non-electric razor, no matter how high in quality, provides too close a shave and leaves behind a nasty razor burn. Obviously this is a personal skin situation and might not apply to you.

I liberally apply Lidocaine (Bikini Zone Gel is 2% and seams to help) after shaving and showering. It is expensive, but there is no doubt that it helps. If the shave was particularly vigorous (read, I haven't shaved in a while), I will also apply cortisone cream.

I am a male professional cyclist. If there's a woman out there who needs to know more about shaving than me, I am very afraid to meet her.

I was just Reading the other answers its not the razor Have used 3 different razors and 2 different shaving creams ..so i know that's not the problem and I used to get red bumps on my legs from shaving..Its from the shaving cream u use..I switch to just hair conditioner... It works wonders and your legs turn out really soft.

Yah, I even got cuts and bruises so I opt out of shaving but choose a roller blade instead that is circular in shape and contains 5 blades which is easily accessible whenever you turn the roller and it does not cut the skin leaving injuries though I must say that this equipment seems to vanish from the market.
I had a hard time finding it and each time I purchase, it depends on my luck.

Use a Venus razor and Skintmate Shaving Cream. It's the best and there is no razor burns or skin irritations. Leaves your legs nice and smooth.

yes, its razor burn. It's mainly from using a dull razor. like some of the other girls said try using conditioner instead of shaving cream/gel. Also, try shaving at the END of your shower, this is when the hair is softest and you can get a better shave. never shave dry! : ) good luck

To prevent the bumps and razor burn, use Soypete's shaving oil. It's wonderful and I use it everyday! I absolutly love it! You can use baby powder to soothe your skin after razor burn now NOT lotion! Try the shaving oil because it will work!
