the only way to be sure of your daughters safety is to sit right next to her every minute she is on the net. nothing beats a watchful and tech savvy parent. learn chat acronyms like pos=parent over shoulder etc.
there is no way to look through your computer and see if the 13 year old girl you think you are talking to is really a 40 year old man.
here are some ways to protect your children online

you can take the computer's power cord with you when you leave the house. :)

I think if something bad is said then yes report them. the best way to find true friends would be maybe to show her how to use the computer. letting her begin with yahoo 360. helping her write a blog and making sure she adds no info that would lead someone to her. also showing your confindence in her will make her trust you more if someone does try and talk about things that should be discussed with a child. Also if she writes a blog you can always go there and read what she says and let her read what you write in your own depending on how adult you have yours. It could be something you and her do to learn about eachother. I have added some of the places my son goes which seem to be alright so far. I would suggest that you do not allow a myspace for I have heard that it is a pedofiles playground. It isn't monitored or anything. It is really a bad place. Spying on your daughter will just make her pull away from you more and not tell you thinks that are happening becasue she will thgink you dont trust her so whats the point.

Hard to say anything... really, I think you should try to find more... fitting penpals. If your kids are into Video Games, then try looking for penpals who are into Video Games. Then, if someone seems weird, maybe you should inform your children that you 'Don't think that he/she's the right choice of friend for you.' It sounds like a good plan to me. If they ask why, you'll have to tell them the truth. Some people will go online and try to do bad things to other people using the internet.

No, young ones should not be banned from enjoying them, it incredibly is stupid and pointless, and the babies will finally end up enjoying them besides, yet the place they are in a position to't be supervised and are consequently extra susceptible. mum and dad could be protecting a closer eye on what their young ones are doing on line. If that tale is actual, then an analyze could be made as to how an 11 twelve months previous female would desire to take nude photographs of herself and e mail them to this boy without her mum and dad awareness. that is as much as oldsters to oversee their young ones on line activity.

Stick close around your daughter! or check it once in a while. I'm not saying she'll look for them. But they'll look for them. And keep telling you'r daughter not to chat with anybody that's an adult!!

reporting is useless as there are millions of hassles and such weirdos will remain untouched!! try to secretly spy on your daughter.hack her e-mail or plant a spyware on the computer for her which will record her every activity!!
