I would. When I took my little boys when they were young, I would dress them up and take them to family and friends house. I don't think that actually taking them out and getting treats would be a good idea. The baby may fall asleep at that time.

I would say no. It is different if you want to show a few of your neighborhood friends how cute your little one looks, but going door to door with your child only looks like you want candy for yourself. My daughter is 2 and this will be her first year trick or treating. I love Halloween and have been looking forward to this day for a long time. The last 2 halloweens I have just put her in a cute Halloween outfit and she helped answer the door. She had a blast last year. Even though I still wont let her have much of that candy she hauls in, I feel now that she can say trick or treat all by herself and can enjoy the experience.

Of course it's ok! My daughter was only 6 weeks for Halloween last year, I didn't take her, but that's because I didn't think she would know what was going on. But I'm going to take her this year, at least down the street! I'm sure my daughter would have loved it when she was 6 months! Just make sure, if its cold where you live that she is dress for the weather!
Plus I didn't want to have all the candy sitting around that I would eventually eat!!

Dress her up & take her around the neighborhood. I make little treat bags for the trick-or-treaters and always have a few for the little babies. Last year we had individually wrapped biter biscuits & halloween themed pacifiers for the lil ones. I always threw in some candy, too... who cares if mom & dad eat it? Id much rather give it to a lil one like that then some of the rude teenagers that came to my house last year!
You know all your neighbors & family will want to see her dressed up! And even at 6 months she will probably think its neat that people are dropping things in her bucket.

take her!!! dress her up in something cute, or scary whatever you prefer (although i would not put make-up on her face or hands, it could irratate her face skin, and she could possibly eat whatever u put on her hands!!). just try to go reasonably early, like as soon as it gets dark (so she does not get too fussy) and so that you can be home before all the crazies are out (i live in a big city and there is a HUGE halloween party & thousands show up for it, needless to say there are alot of drunk people in costumes running around...not a good combo!!). if i were u id go around the neighborhood, maybe just a few blocks (depending on how much candy YOU want, cuz you will be eating it!!). HAVE FUN!!! & BE SAFE!!!
oh and you HAVE to take a pic!!! you will love looking back at it!!

When my daughter was around 6 months old, we did dress her up for Halloween and took her to the neighbors house so they could see how cute she was. But, we didn't take her around to the whole neighborhood since that would seem like we were just trying to get candy for ourselves.

My son is 6 months old as well and I am debating the same thing. I have an adorable costume already. My thought on this is if she has older sibllings who you are taking out its a great idea as long as shes bundled. If it is just her its worth waiting until she is a little older. Maybe you could just pass out candy with her, that way people can see her adorableness without having to brave the weather. That is my plan-he is my only one and I feel silly taking him out just him and I.

Why not? I took my 6 WEEK old trick or treating in 2000 (only to some neighbor's houses). He was a pumpkin and I was the farmer that grew the pumpkin :) People thought it was adorable and told me to be sure that he got his candy. Itold them he would because I was nursing so I'd just eat the candy then wait 2 hours so the candy was in the breastmilk and then nurse him! We got extra candy at every house!

that's extremely as much as you. i think of human beings would be fifty fifty in this one. on the single hand, she extremely should not be ingesting any candy in any respect at that age. yet because's her first Halloween i understand you as a mom might actually like the reminiscence. you're saying you're going with greater suitable youngsters?? Why no longer wait until eventually a 365 days or 2 for the candy and in simple terms take her around with the stroller with the different youngsters.

It'd be more for you than the baby. The baby won't remember it later and can't eat any of the goodies, but how adorable will the baby be in a costume!
If you're ok about the weather conditions on that day in your town, you should do whatever you feel. You're gonna enjoy the moment. Have Fun!!!
