It's a loom for making long tubes with yarn, instead of knitting one with knitting needles. The tubes are used for belting, or tye strings on a hood of a sweater, etc.

Yes a knitting loom which I assumed has a whole kit to it. continue what she is doing very easy to make and fun. A heirloom for your children. Enjoy it.

I don't know the name of it, but it makes little knit circles and then you attach them to make sweaters, hats, afghans etc. I have something called a Knit Wit that is similiar.

It looks like something that kids used to have in public schools to make pot holders (kitchen pots get hot... to grab the handles with).
