Everytime I am on my way to work or just running errands or riding around town, I always see one or two houses that still have christmas lights on them or still have the wreaths on the door. I am talking about christmas wreaths. Tell me how you feel about this or am I the only one that feels this way?!?!

Christmas is a festive time, and some people like that year-round. I'm one of them, but I don't keep up my decorations year-round.

Now that is a very good question!!! I think these people are the ultimate in LAZY!!! That's ridiculous to have Christmas stuff up year round and I would think it would spoil the specialness of the Christmas decorations! And the icicle lights are the WORST, hanging off your house during the day during the season is bad enough (they are so BEAUTIFUL at night) but take them down, down, down as soon as Christmas is over! Don't put them up if it's too difficult to taken them down! I'm not talking about lights that are kinda sorta hidden from view, that's kinda normal to leave them up year-round :)

You can always tell the folks that invent ways to be as lazy as possible and just leave the ornaments up all the time, and only plug them in at Christmastime!

Yes, I know some adults like that in my rural town -- and it is not that hard to see the light string wound around the bushes in their yards or hanging from the eaves of the home -- because they don't want to go back up the ladder, wind them around the storage reel, clean and test them, or do something different each and every year. And ... most importantly -- I know individuals who BRAG this is what they do!

I think some people are lazy and don't want the hassle of taking down and putting up. It really ruins the decorations to leave them out over an extended time...but it takes all kinds of people in this world.

I guess people want to have the spirit of the holidays with them year round. Either that or folks are just lazy about taking down their decorations.

LOL. Laziness? That or fear. Around here we get a lot of ice in early January... So, climbing onto your roof to take down lights can be a little scary. That being said, though, don't put lights on your roof... Or at least take them down as soon as everything melts... People just don't care. Laziness...

I see the same house every year with their lights on in April. It's OK to leave them up, since they are a pain to take down, but do you have to keep turning them on every night? Don't you people own a calendar? LOL!

It may be because one of their loved ones is not able to celebrate Christmas with them due to being in the service. Maybe their waiting for them to come home. But most of all I think its being lazy.

I started my christmas countdown on the 290th day...They leave decorations up so as they only have to turn them on or dust them off next year...not to have to mlug up from the basement, a dozen boxes.
