That is a tricky question since vegetable is a grocery store term: Tomatoes are called vegetables to distinguish them from the sweeter fruits like peaches. Carrots are called vegetables but the part we eat is of course a root.
A fruit is the ripened (swollen) ovary of a flower. The ovary ripens when the ovules inside have been fertilized. Seeds of flowering plants always are found inside fruits.
So based on this if you can find a tree where we eat something other than the fruit you have found your answer. Do we eat flowers or leaves of any trees?
After much research it seems that fig leaves are edible.

Sorry...Vegetables DO NOT grow on trees!
Veggies grow in the earth, near to or under ground. (Underground are your root vegetables such as carrots, turnips, rutabagas, potatoes, sweet potatoes, parsnips, onions, etc.)
There is only one fruit that is treated, and eaten as a vegetable and that is the Avocado pear which grows on a good sized tree... (I know I've one in my garden!).
There are, however, some fruits that do not grow on trees...such as grapes and tomatoes (yes, tomatoes ARE fruit!). These grow on vines...

Well tomatoes are considered a fruit but they still don't grow on trees. Don't know of any veggie that does. I have wracked my brain and still don't know. Sorry.

some fruits are thought of as vegetables, such as avocados, but technically, all tree bearing fruit is FRUIT (or nuts)

because a majority of greens are annual flora, meaning they are planted each season, produce the veggie and then the plant dies. maximum culmination are a perennial flora meaning they produce and then the plant or tree retains to strengthen.
