ever since i was little i have wanted a skunk with its stink glands removed but recently i told that to my dad and he said they dont do that anymore because it was cruelty to animals, is that true?? my heart is broken.

My daughter loves skunks, too. They are kind of cute...you might want to call the Humane Society or even a vet to see if it is legal to have a skunk like that. I know it is illegal to have some types of wild animals (like owls). Ask a vet--they would probably know. I wouldn't want to be the one handling it before it gets it's stinker removed!!

There are places that still do that and there are breeders that sell them that way. Type in the word skunk and you will find them. Another note though, you will need to check your municipality to see if you need a permit for one. In PA I don't think you need one for a skunk, but technically you should have one for a raccoon or wolf.

As far as I know they do. There is alot of people out there that have pet skunks and groups for people with them. This probably depends on where you live though and the laws for pets like this.

You can find these smelly creatures that have been removed of their glands. search the web for exotic animals skunk you will find just what you want.

Not true they still do it.
Skunks make decent pats are are fun little animals.
My firends had one. If you made it mad he would stomp his front feet at you and if you did not back up he would turn and flip his tail at you like he was spraying you. THen look at youl ike "hey how come you are not getting sick I did squirt you"
He was a cool pet.

I think that maybe they still do that. But my personal oppinion is that I will NEVER own a skunk, NO MATTER HOW CUTE IT IS!!!!!!!!!!!
