My cousin was gay for a long time and even had a ceremony with her girlfriend, she even got her name tattooed on her back now she has a boyfiend she is in love with and is talking about having a baby??? I kinda think she was just hurt by men so went to women but why do some people do that? Would yougo back to the opposite sex?

I agree w/ you.. I feel a lot of women get hurt by men, and resort to women... It's pretty common.. My cousin admitted to me that she's "Bi" and perfers women, because she was hurt by a guy... Me personally, no man could hurt me enough to affect me in that way... These women think that a woman would understand them more, and be more sensitive to their needs....

Some of us bisexuals take on the les label. I admit I call myself a lesbian often, but I wouldn't rule out the posibility of a longterm relationship with a man. Some people decide to try the whole lesbian thing because they've been hurt by men. There's many reasons she could have done what she did. My best geuss is she's bisexual, but went all women for a while for some reason. Now she's found a guy she's happy with. Then again, she could be trying for the stereotypical american dream like some are suggesting. Yet another possibility is that she's jumping back in the closet.

She wasn't gay she was just trying out a fantasy that she had. She might have fell in love with her girlfriend, but she never was gay. Men can make you so mad at them to go to the same sex (well not me) but she may realize that she is most happy with a man and is most pleased by a man. Or she could just want to have a baby. But honey she was never gay.

It is not that uncommon with lesbians. They sometimes long for the proverbial white picket fence and family and feel that is the only way they can reach that goal. I've never know a self admitted gay man to switch back with much success. Think about it. Regardless whether she enjoys it or not, any woman can have intercourse with a man. However, most gay men would find themseves 'not up to it'.

I think they switch back because they can't handle the prejudice that society throws at them.
It is just like the early days of the civil rights movement in the 1960s, you haven't seen anything yet, a gay Martin Luther King will come along and show the bigots how wrong they were.

I'm sure there are a lot of people who have gone this route. However, most of us here are 100% gay/lesbian and really don't have any desires to "go back". I have been with a man before....married to one actually....and it was a disaster. Trying to "do the right thing" made things worse in the end.

Maybe she doesn't want to be labeled as anything. Gay, straight, or bi. Maybe she just wants to find love and happiness with someone no matter what sex that person is. Just so happens that this time its a guy.

I've been thinking about it. I mean, I've had a lot of sex and now I wouldn't mind having the American dream of a wife, kids and a detached home in the suburbs. Nah. Strike that. Just a kid.

as for you cousin you need to ask her why she,as you so understandingly put it,"switched back" i personally have never liked guys and never will. have you ever thought about the fact that your cousin may be bisexual. i've read some of your questions and if you love and respect her as much as you said you do you would ask her not the world.
thanx though reading your questions reminded me of why i never want to go back home why i'm happy katriana forced me to move to somewhere better

That would be someone who is Bisexual. I've never known a Gay person to "go back".
