I did, back in my youth, my friends and I invented this character the happy whistley man and we would call and say with a sort of Indian accent "Hello it is me, the happy whistley man (whistle...) do you like my whistle? Would you like to whistle for me..." and so on, pretty funny some people would stay on the line for along time and whistle and stuff others would just get pissed and hang up, what would you do?

I called my hubby's friend I didn't like and pretended to be a French Hooker...Year or two later he asked me about it and I denyed any knowledge of it. Prank calling was cool before caller ID.

Before *69 and caller id came around, I use too. My brother and I would pick numbers out of the phone book. If a female answered I would tell her that her man was with me earlier that day. My brother would tell the man (if he answered) that he was with the guys woman that day. Now I know it's mean and am sorry for breaking up some relationships.

All the time. It was awesome (for my friends and I anyway). We would do one elaborate gag where we said we were calling from the phone company & working on their line. They were told NOT to answer the phone if it rang because the worker would get a nasty shock. So we'd call after a few minutes (when they may have forgetten) and when they answered the phone we'd scream! Good times. =)

LMAO! I love that one! Most recently my 21 year old nephew will call various family members, blocked of course from caller id, as the Maytag repairman on his way to fix your refrigerator or an agent from Geico Insurance with some crazy quote on vehicles you do not even own. No matter what your answer to him is, he is quick on his feet and finds a way to keep you on the phone until you finally recognize his voice.

Did? I still do. My neighbor and I love to prank call her husband, my husband gets in on it too. We just call and every time he answers we hang up but when she answers, she pretends she is talking to the prank caller and it's all dirty and she is getting offended and when she hands the phone back to her man, we hang up. My best friend and I also prank call my husband. She has the ability to sound like anyone so we will call and say he has won things and other stupid stuff. Nothing we do is harmful though. For me to be 27 (28 in Dec.), I am still immature.

I used to.
My best friend and I would listen to the jerky boys all the time around the ages of 13-16. We can do voices very well (best friend actually works for the cartoon network) and we used to imitate the calls very well

Yes before *69 came out. My sister and i used to prank call sometimes after school. It was mostly that they had won a coloured t.v. and they always fell for it. Everyone wanted a coloured t.v. back then. We would tell them where to go to pick up.
Give a false address. Don't know to this day how many got up and went. lol.

Oh when I was younger (before caller ID) we would just do stupid stuff like do surveys over the phone like ask what brand of toilet paper they use and what kind of soap it sounds stupid now back then it was fun! Also we would ask if they wanted to buy Girl Scout cookies then they would ask what kind do you have. We would laugh and say sorry my Mom eat them all.

My brother and I used to prank call people and we'd pretend we were a radio station DJ and the person we were calling was receiving a prize of some sort. Cruel I know but, hey we were young and silly.
