when it is installing it starts off fine and then in the middle of the install the screen blanks out comes back gigantic and continues installing in that format. Everything else is fine on the computer so I am pretty sure it is messenger causing the problem. It started after I updated to the Yahoo beta version. Help!!!!

Well it ios not yahoo even though it is a big file, you probably don't have enough memory or Ram...This happen to me when I tried to download windows XP, I had the home edition but when I change to XP, it would not download, I even increast my memory, that did not work, so what I ended up doing is buying another hard drive ( 300gb ) now I have all kind of room to download mega files and programs...So check out your Hard Drive and see how much space do you have left on it then compare it to the size of the messenger file (Program) it takes to downloaded...

It is important to remember to re-boot the computer after an un-install, then again after an installation.

PS. Anything with Beta in the name is a trial version---usually full of glitches. Avoid, if possible!

It's not your computer it's because certain times of the day there's peak usage of the program. I can suggest one that's really good and you get on very quickly. I only use Yahoo Messenger to use my web cam talking to my boyfriend. See below for site.
