I'm sick of people leaving stupid half-assed answers just to get two points and/or harass people. Is there any way to delete their answer so they get a -2? Seriously...

Click the little flag under their answer and report them for abuse. These types of answers clearly violate the community guidelines. They will loose 10 points for each answer that is deleted. If they are really bad, they may get their yahoo account completely deleted!

If you delete an answer to a question you asked the points come off your record not theirs. Ask questions that will warrant intelligent responses. I've seen some off the wall answers since you do have that basic group that's not really thinking about the answers they're posting up when 95% of this site have some pretty intelligent and well thought out answers.

You said "answer", not "ask". right? No. You can't delete them yourself, but you can report them. It seems that reported answers are nearly always deleted and the answerers debited 2 points. You should do so. I hate it, too.

when you get to level 2 you can rate their answer with a thumb down. This will give them a point penalty, and the question will be hidden, but not deleted.

No you can't delete them,you can flag them but that don't guarantee they will be deleted.If we start this won't be anyone left on Yahoo Answers,Just ignore.
