What similar provisions, or accomplishments, can be said of countries that have existed for THOUSANDS of years and still, today, can't produce enough electricity, have clean water, enjoy simple civic freedoms, such as choice of religion, education, not to mention the PURSUIT of happiness for their populations?? Why should we - the US - even care? Who else does?

I am a ZUNI Indian. Judge me, I’ll just ignore you. I LOVE America! I’m in good health, and haven’t had a “real” job in over 8 years, I’m 56 and retired when I was 44. One of our kids has a degree and the other 2 are doing just fine without one - I don't have one! I own 10 acres of property I’m building on next year -a “green” solar powered affair, I have a nice home where I live now, a nice car, a sailboat I sailed around the Caribbean in for 2 years and my experience will never be forgotten, the usual 42 inch flat screen with surround sound, and I’m waiting for my PS3. Again, I LOVE America! I’m very proud of our accomplishments! I think it’s good to help others, it's even a story in the Bible about teaching and giving of fish. With all our diffs we’ve managed to do much in 200 years while other places have had a lot more time to hash out the learning curve and do great things for their own country, and themselves, but have not.

My country has been around a very long time but has only had european influence for just over 150 years and not all good influence.
Yet we are asked again and again to die on other peoples shores in other peoples wars doing other peoples s**t.
Saying that I am very proud of my country as it stands up to the US on many issues including our nuclear free stance.
Any country in the world that is doing well economically has a responsibility to help those around and it to develop, to educate but not in enforce their ideology on the culture.
There are too many ruined countries past and present as evidence of interference.
The US is the most obvious scapegoat for actions that sometimes have good intentions.
Does the world forget that good old portugal ruined many a country? That england ruled and restricted many a culture?
What we are seeing today is history repeating itself.
The difference is due to modern communication we can all see it now..today..not waiting for the history books to be written.
Good question!

Take a walk around any city in your 'wonderful' country & you will see poverty & deprivation on a par with third-world countries. There are millions of people who are allowed to suffer because they cannot afford to pay rip-off medical bills, thousands are allowed to die for the same reason. You may come from a powerful country, but it's a country without a heart.Btw.Your foreign aid is given for political reasons, not out of generosity.Just wondering, from which part of the world did your family come from?I doubt very much you're a Native American.

i could direct them to lostsoulsflu dot com on the approximately web site there are the emblems records. In those records i could tell them, "purely God could desire to be attentive to that." There you will locate the definition of mass, the lacking properly-known consistent, the effective shape consistent, corrections to relativity, the guidelines of diffusion, and how all of them in effective condition at the same time in an common and unique way by revelations. yet, of course, it relies upon on believing the author. in case you do no longer believe the author, then the author is a few kind of uber genius seen as quickly as in 10000 years. Then there could be a contradiction -- somebody that spectacular can not be a liar. besides, the data and the fact is there, take it or bypass away it.

I'm so pleased that America is extremely generous and not at all motivated by greed, money and self interest.
Otherwise they would ignore small poor countries e.g Riwanda and only interfere in the affairs of large countries with oil reserves e.g Iraq

Try again, chump. Stop watching FUX news and learn about the real world.
The US expects cheap oil and cheap imports from other countries while other nations starve and then call it "national interests" and "manifest destiny".
You probably believe the idiotic "they hate our freedoms" crap instead of believing the CIA analysts. (You know, the analysts who said before congress that 9/11 was caused by unconditional US support for Israel? The analysts whose testimony was cut out of the 9/11 report?)

Who cares who else does or doesn't ? Thank G-d I was born in the USA where people care about one another and are willing to lend a helping hand now and then. If you don't want to help, or give anything then don't .. or move to another Country that fits your needs better. Good Luck ! :)

We aren't asked, we just do it. And it's usually isn't for humanitarian reasons like they love to say, it's to put more countries in our pockets. We give them aid, now they do what we say. That's why the UN is a ******* joke. A lot of other countries do it for that reason too, but are more sincere with their intentions.

i think its time you went back to school, your country has been on the go for a damn sight longer than two hundred years,
just because america became independant from us brits THREE HUNDRED YEARS AGO, you remember dont you, 1776,
america the continent was around long before then...
aboriginal indians lived on your continent for hundreds of years before you, you may be a "young" nation....but you are a wealthy one, and being a primariliy christian one, should be morally obliged to help developing countries.....
so stop moaning. eh!!

Do you give to charity if you are doing good in your life? Probably yes. Same thing here. Only in politics you also gain something when you help other countries. Like political influence, for example.

I don't think anyone does, honestly. When a natural disaster strikes (for example) they'll be the first ones to hold out their hands for help. Yet any other time, they're the first ones to condemn us, call our president an idiot, and us arrogant.
