Try creating a startup disk from another computer running the same operating system. It should have windows XP home. See instructions below.
Insert a blank floppy disk in the other computer,
Click on Start, My Computer
Right-click drive A and click Format
Check the box that says "Creat MS-DOS Startup Disk" and click start.
You should be able to use this disk on your laptop.

Greetings, you can try the below link from another computer. It shows you how to make a startup disk. If you can use another computer. do a search for boot disks or startup disks. You will be able to find something to hellp you out. The sites usually include instructions. Good Luck!
