Freedom is NOT free.
Many soldiers over the years bled and died for our country.
Our church prays for the soldiers in Iraq and in Afghanistan.
We are the land of the free BECAUSE of the home of the brave.

Maybe that bumper sticker was talking about a different kind of peace. Like the peace you find with your God. The other kind of peace is NOT free, how many have died trying to protect it?

Those that believe peace is free just reinforces how ignorant a lot of people are out there, man has fought for freedom and peace since the dawn of time, and he will continue to do so, unfortunately peace makes and costs a lot of money something most countries are not ready to give up just yet, weapons for war terrorism and killing of Innocent people is one hell of a business today, so one dose not want to hold his breath to long waiting for peace to come our way.

i tink its all reli depressing and it seems like an un-ending circle of fighting and death to achieve something which seems virtually impossible.
its like the only way to peace is to fight for it but that also cuases war. i totally agree with you and that bumper sticker was completely wrong in saying that. of course peace isnt free if anything peace is MUCH harder to achieve than war!!
good question but its a hard thing to answer and you can be sure to get a large range of biased answers!

People think that peace is free because it is an intangible item. It is a way of life. So it is taken for granted. Unless people can hold, taste, feel, or see something .. it is meaningless to most of them. The sad truth. Good Luck ! :)

Depends on how you look at it. If you look at it as a politician or capitalist, peace will NEVER come for free. On the other hand, if you look at it as just a human being without materialistic needs (that's how we once were before we became smart), you'll notice that peace is our birth right.

Peace is not going to come diplomatically. Check out what happened with Stallin and Hitler and The Czar. Japan as well only lost because we used physical force.

They're stupid. What else can you say. Like the sign that says "War never solves anything" I asked that person if they support slavery or the Nazi and when they said no, I said, well it took a war to stop them both. The look of utter stupid she gave me made me wish I had a camera.

Peace is costly........... it comes at great price even to sacrificing ones own life.
Blessed are the peace makers for they will be called children of God.
I pray for peace in the world, the family & in my heart.
PEACE!

peace is definately not free. it may not cost me money, but it will cost my son time without his daddy. it will cost my husband added risk of being hurt. it cost me the difficulties of raising a baby alone while he's gone. and i'm sure it cost others a whole lot more.
