Sometimes, people are afraid of getting shots. It's mostly just the fear of the unknown. If you think about it, a shot lasts less than a second so, the worst part is probably just anticipating it happening. Generally, after the shot, your arm may feel sore for a couple of days like someone hit you or you bumped it. If it is sore, just take Tylenol for it and try to keep it massaged and moving.

You should also consider the consequences of NOT getting vaccinated. The tiniest little cut in your skin can allow bacteria into your body (it doesn't have to be from a rusty nail or metal). If you should Tetanus it can cause serious, painful muscle spasms of all muscles in your body, even to the point of not being able to breath. These muscle spasms have been known to be so severe that they can break bones.

Polio is a disease that sometimes causes paralysis (can't move arm or leg). It can kill people who get it, usually by paralyzing the muscles that help them breathe. My aunt had it and survived but was in a wheelchair for the rest of her life.

I would rather have a seconds worth of shots than a lifetime of illness.

You may want to check out the vaccination information sheets located at www.cdc.gov for mor information. And try not to worry about it too much. When it's done you will probably think, "that wasn't so bad!"

shots do hurt but its better than getting the diseases. If the shot is to be in the arm I found this helps. hang your arm down at your side and wiggle your fingers like you were drumming your fingers on a table. This loosens the muscle in the arm so the needle goes in real easy. If you tense up those muscles the shot will hurt more. There will be some site soreness from the tetanus shot as the solution is irritating to the muscle. Warm clothes applied to the site will help this soreness. After a couple of days the soreness will be gone and you will be as good as new.

I'd watch it. From what I hear the school nurses have hot beef injections when it comes to daughters of libturd families.

Tetanus shots do hurt, but not something that is unbearable or will keep you up. It feels tender and sore initially but will go away.

Only a tiny bit because they use very small needles.
