Of the four cities mentioned, I'd go with New York. It's a great city with diversity, culture, education. I also read that it is considered the safest city in America, which has to mean something to you if you plan to raise a family there.
My second choice would be Chicago. I grew up near there and there is a lot to be said for "Midwest family values", combined with a great city like Chicago.

i would say its different for everyone but if i had to choose i would have picked new york...cause its the big city its got tons of opportunities for people and its a good place to meet people...and raise a family...NOT only that a recent survey showed it was the most safest country in america...so to me that would also be important..;)
