Either way, you should be seen by a doctor. I started spotting, but I went to the hospital for checks and they never found anything wrong...I bled ALOT! But my son was born three months ago...9lbs 1oz and healthy. But you NEED to be seen to make sure.

First off, try to relax. I know how hard that is but spotting is extremly common in early pregnancy. Definitely call your doctor/midwife and let them know then just lay down and take it easy. When I was 5 weeks I started outright bleeding (not spotting) and it went on for almost a week and my son will be 6 on monday. Chances are that all will be well and you'll have a happy, healthy baby in 7 months.

I have to agree with some of the previous posters. If you are concerned, called your health care provider. If the spotting is red, turns from brown to red, or is accompanied by cramping, then definitely call. It may not be serious, and your doctor may be able to determine if it is or not, or he or she can help you figure out exactly what is happening, or what to expect. Many women have spotting in early pregnancy and go on to have healthy babies, and some women do not.

Spotting is always cause for concern in a pregnancy, but happens so frequently that it's not considered unusual. Definatley call your doctor and be seen for an ultrasound.

most likely not...IS it "old"blood or is it bright red?
If its bright red its "new" blood and you will most likely need to go to the doctors.

This is what happedned to me before at about 7-8 weeks last pregnancy and this is what they told me, I had old blood so it was ok...

Only if it is accompanied by cramping. If it persists then i would defiantly go to the E.R.

GOOD LUCK

Always call your doctor, even if its something little. It could be nothing but it could be a miscarriage. If you catch it in time, they might be able to do something.
