He tied Hank Aaron tonight 9-22-06 for the career National League HR record. One more this season and he stands alone atop the NL.

He is not close to breaking Aaron's record of 755 HR in a career. The sportscasters were talking about Aaron's National League record of 733 HR (his last 22 were with the Brewers, who at the time were in the AL). Bonds is currently sitting at 732 HR, so he needs one more to tie the NL record.

He's got 732 HR's, so he's 24 away from setting a new record.

It depends on if his legs give out or not. They might blow out this year and his numbers will stay as they are.
