Hmmm, don't recall anything for kids that either the BBC, Granada, or the Australian Broadcasting Corp. put on the air back then...
Here in the States, there was a show called "Monchhichis", based on a popular toy(they almost looked like monkeys, but almost as tall as a Smurf)...too cute, too cuddly, and hard to explain to the parents back then...
