In this case, you are a natural born citizen and can become President.

Thousands of kids are born overseas to U.S. citizens each year...military, Diplomatic Corps, business assignments...those kids are as much a citizen as somebody who is born to U.S. citizens in Ames, Iowa.

U.S. Constitution:

No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty five years, and been fourteen Years a resident within the United States.

In stating that you were born to 2 United States Citizens, and were born in a foreign country, you are not letting us know if you were born on or off a military base. Military base is American soil, no matter what country it is in and gives you 100% legal right to become president.

Now if you have parents that are US Citizen, and you were born off a military base on foreign soil, that would make you a Non US Citizen, which would mean that in order to be in this country, you are a permanent resident alien, which will allow you to get your citizenship, but with this instance of not being born on US "soil" you would not be able to become president.

Yes, you can. In that particular case, you are born as an American citizen and can still be President. It is only when you are not a citizen from birth that you cannot become President.

Actually if this was an issue and sent the supreme court you could become President. As long as both parents are US citizens and you've been in the country longer than 14 years.

This concerns ONLY naturalized citizens. I believe the reason for it was because they thought a "sleeper agent" raised by two, say "Russian spy" parents might raise a mole to become President then and relax our rules to the point of negligibility and allow a Russian coup. So, in order to protect the country, this was inacted.

However now that the "Red Scare" and McCarthyism is over, they are wanting to overturn the resolution (at least the Republican's were) so that "Arnhold" could run for Prez a year or two ago. So, we see that cooler heads are prevailing today.

I think you can, too. You have to be a US born citizen. If your mother happens to be visiting Paris and goes into labor, you're still a U.S. citizen. I don't know why you'd want that job anyway.
