I have never tried it, and I want to just do it once....is it really that dangerous to take it once? I could not get it regularly, even if I wanted, so I know that I can just take 1. Also, I drink and smoke pot too....and I mean I know I can control myself, I'm not like some who trip out regularly...so I like to think I can hold my own...What do you all think? I know a guy that died from it, but isnt it from either regular use or just taking too much? Let me know what you guys think, and let me know of fun activities to do while on it!

Thanks for all of the quick responses! I appreciate your concerns....I am not worried about getting addicted b/c I cannot get it regularly.....so even if I wanted to I couldnt unless I just walked the streets lookin for a dealer, and thats whack. What I meant by control myself with drinking is just that when I drink, I do not drink more than I can handle, and I certainly only drink where I am going to sleep for the night. People also talk alot of crap about weed too, but it is not a big deal like people make it seem. I understand X is more stronger, and I can see how people can use me as an example to say weed is a gateway drug, but I say that weed opens your eyes to alternative mind states that we should embrace....but I am referring more to natural things....not so much chemically altered drugs (which I assume X is),......so far I am leaning towards NOT doing it...since an overwhelming number of people said no.

Looks like your abuse is escalating, why not go straight to ICE and get it over with.
You won't be able to ask these questions when your brain is fried, but your answers should be interesting when your tweaking!

Be careful. You used to be able to get good ecstasy but in the past few years it seems like it's only speed. With real MDMA (ecstasy), you feel a strong sense of wellness and empathy for others. You can have a blast dancing at a club or just snuggling up with someone special at home. Most of the danger comes from overheating. Drink lots of WATER, not booze. Don't take more than one pill, and only buy from someone you trust who has already tried that batch. Be prepared to be a little tired and depressed the next day or two, because you have used up so much serotonin that your brain will have less than usual until it ramps back up. Be well.

I tried E a few times years ago. The high is a numbing, prickly sensation that makes your hole body feel good (hence the increase in sexual desire), you feel as if you love everyone, blah blah blah. Downside is what made me vow to never do it again. You literally feel like you're dying. You stay high FOREVER and you won't be able to go to sleep no matter how tired you feel. When your body does eventually shut down, the feeling is enough to make you strongly consider never taking it again.
So, if you must try it, make sure you get it from a reputable source and go to a club where's there loud music and you're sure to have a blast! Just remember the comedown is horrific.

I have seen a documentary that explains as part of how it works, it opens up the pores of the blood/brain barrier. The affects lasts for months after taking just one dose. There has been a large increase in infections of the brain by viruses due to this. These infections used to be extremely rare.
For your sake, I hope you make the right choice.

The girl who was 13 and was in the news DIED from taking it once. It was a normal dosage I think. It takes 8 - 13 hits of it to damage your brain to the point that you will never feel happy again. On hit will do 10% of the brain damage of total destruction of that part of your brain. Drink a beer instead.

DON"T DO IT!!!!!
Brain imaging research in humans indicates that Ecstasy causes injury to the brain, affecting neurons that use the chemical serotonin to communicate with other neurons. The serotonin system plays a direct role in regulating mood, aggression, sexual activity, sleep, and sensitivity to pain. Many of the risks users face with Ecstasy use are similar to those found with the use of cocaine and amphetamines:
Psychological difficulties, including confusion, depression, sleep problems, drug craving, severe anxiety, and paranoia - during and sometimes weeks after taking Ecstasy.
Physical symptoms such as muscle tension, involuntary teeth clenching, nausea, blurred vision, rapid eye movement, faintness, and chills or sweating.
Increases in heart rate and blood pressure, a special risk for people with circulatory or heart disease.
Also, there is evidence that people who develop a rash that looks like acne after using Ecstasy may be risking severe side effects, including liver damage, if they continue to use the drug.

You will not just do it once!!! I have done it in my youth and while it was great at the time it caused lots of physiological problems and leads to wanting to do more drugs. You never know what you are getting in the drug, most of the time there is not any traces of MDMA just a lot of trash drugs. Before you try it research it on the net. I recommend to not do it!!! You will regret it one day

I haven't done it, but know plenty who have...One girl I know was hooked pretty quick. The guy I know says not to do it unless you know you've got a chick around because you'll get all gay with your buddies even if you're straight...I guess it heightens the sex drive that much....That stuff is bad though....it clearly depletes your brain cells quite quickly, the ingredients are very bad. Stick to the drinkin' as long as you're not letting it control your life and fire that blunt back up!!

I'd only try that stuff if I were suicidal. You don't want to end up a statistic, do you? It's like playing Russian roulette. Hell is real, man! Don't take a chance!

you have a few things going on already. leave the Ecstasy alone. it may lead to harder drugs. i know you say you have control over the situation. a lot of addicts have said the same thing all the way to rehab.
