father died in 98 & i heard you can check websites to look for hidden funds he may of left me. all i know $6,000 was unaccouted for. think maybe he hid in bank somewhere, becuase he had it on him the week he died.
anybody know which site to look in????????????

Go to your states website and look up "unclaimed money." You can also have the personal representative of the estate call the bank to see if there was a safe deposit box, but if this was back in 1998, then that probably was already looked at. Could of stashed it in the house, thats what my grandpa did. He put it in books and under stairs.
