i dont technicaly work for them, but i am a volunteer worker for the national trust. I really enjoy it

I've worked with the National Trust, they were my customer- highly organised, massive presence in England & Wales (seperate one for Scotland) and loaded lol!
You have got so much choice in what you want to do, be prepared to work for very little money but you can be working in wooded areas, stately homes, coastal regions etc etc- very very nice locations.

I've looked in to volenteering for the national trust, but due to logistics I couldn't. I imagine it would be quite a nice job. Sorry I can't offer any advice or insight, just wanted to say good luck if you wanted to go for it!
