A couple of things to try. First, type in the URL in the site address line like this: http://www.yahoo.com Once the yahoo site appears, the place the cursor over the e symbol for Internet Explorer on the left hand side of the address line; left click and hold. Then, drag into the house icon indicating 'home'. A box will appear asking you if you want to make Yahoo! your new "home" page. Click yes. If that doesn't work, go into 'Properties' under File, open it up until you see a blue highlighted URL. Type in and replace it with www.yahoo.com One of these two options should fix your problem Actually, both should fix it. Good Luck !

Go Tools>Internet Options> And change the homepage. If that is not working download an Antispyware and an AntiVirus and check your computer in safe mode (Recommended softwares AVG Free Edtion http://free.grisoft.com/doc/avg-anti-virus-free/lng/us/tpl/v5 and Ad-Aware SE Personal http://www.download.com/3000-2144-10045910.html )

do you have some internet security software? i have norton antivirus at work and it also prevented me from changing my home page. if you also have the same thing, then go to the norton antivirus options and uncheck the "turn home page protection on (recommended)"
if you don't use norton antivirus or some other internet protection software that prevents home page modifications, then you may have malware running on your system. you should do a full scan of your system. you can scan your system for free at:
