The garage does not have to use the part that he buys. It is their responsibility to get the part that they broke and replace it for free and also their right to buy the part from wherever they choose.

So lets see if I have this correct, someone bought a part took it to a shop and charged them $500 more for it, because he knows they are ripping him off? Ever heard the old two wrongs don't make a right?
If the shop broke the part why is he buying it? If he does not trust the shop why does he go there? The repair world is like all others there are 90% good shops doing a tough job and trying to make a living 10% who do work they do not know how to or just pumping up profit by over charging. Before you take a car to a shop you need to do some homework. I cant say the shop is or is not ripping him off, but in most cases shops charge a fair price. Did your friend check with anyone else?
Ask lots of questions, talk to friends see if they have a shop to recommend.

it truly is not black and white. that's fairly gray if you're raped as an instance, abortion must be a call. The fetus isn't even advanced yet even with the indisputable fact that it continues to be existence. So it truly is an ethical aspect for a rap sufferer to do. the youngster does no longer ought to strengthen up understanding his/mom would not desire them and his/her father turned right into a rapist. it may be a call for this reason. If abortion is used as birth control, i for my section imagine it really is fairly incorrect and extremely unethical. ought to this be a call? certain, even with the indisputable fact that the guy who does this must be publicly prevalent as an fairly immoral and unethical human being. faith shouldn't even connect the debate. As a non non secular human being, I should not be compelled to do some thing by making use of a faith that i do not remember on or practice. which could be unethical as well.

Whether they "rip him off" or not makes no difference. Making a profit in the US is not illegal, yet (no matter what the media says about the oil companies). Remember 2 things: if THEY buy the part, they will sell it for more than THEY paid for it; and they clearly have the option to purchase it from someone else. Selling it to them at a profit is not only ethical, it's pure capitalism - UNLESS he agrees to sell it to them at cost and represents the additional prices as the price he paid, then, ethical or not, it's illegal. The courts call it fraud.

As a repair shop, I think they would be aware as to the cost of the part within a few bucks and your scam won't work! Besides, honesty will get you a lot further in life than dishonesty! Just ask all the inmates- they'll tell you!

The charge for the part should be the actual price and no more. This is thievery.
