I wouldn't and it will probably void the warranty and could very well break in the attempt but I heard it can be done carefully with a Flathead screwdriver to pop the metal and plastic casing apart.

You don't, if it needs repairs or a new battery take it to the store where you purchased it they will send it in to the company. This should be covered on your extended warranty if you have one.

There are special tools that you have to buy. I heard you can get it from radioshack
