I'm a big-time Christian rock fan, and music nut in general. Sure, there are some bands passed off as Christian rock that are just plain cheesy, but most of them I hear on various online radio stations that I listen to are pretty decent. I'd have to say Skillet is my favorite among bands that are still together, although Bloodgood is my all-time favorite. Check out the links below for some really cool Christian rock broadcasts online 24/7.

I think they should be taken seriously if they feel the spirit of what they're listening to. I like gospel music from old school to new school. But a lot of the old school gospel singers feel that the young new school singers are not serious about singing God's word only because the new school singers have put a little hip hop into the mainstream. It sounds good to me and I'm old school! I think change is always good. Especially if sending a powerful positive message to young people.

i'm a religious person, but i dont care for christian rock bands. I think they are fake because they expect people to like them just because they are christian bands. I've been to a christian rock show, and the music was alright, but then they start preaching about certain things, like abstinence. Then you have Creed who was or is a christian band and Scott Stapp was in a sex tape.

I guess if the music is good, a band will be listened to/taken seriously.

Umm...They seem to have a big following, but in my opinion, they are cheesy for the most part, and I have seen alot of "fans" of these types of groups that appear brainwashed and religious in an eerie, robotic way, instead of a peaceful, spiritual, and life-affirming way.
