Our house currently is on a well and they are hooking all of the lots on our street up to city water. We simply have to pay to connect from our house to the street. I want to know how extensive of a project this is and how expensive it is. Our house is only 10 years old, so everything is up to code right now.

Cape Coral? It costs about 300.00 for the plumber to install the pipe. and if your hooking to sewer that will be 800.00 plus you will have to abandon your septic tank or remove it 400.00

Shouldn't be too diffiult. I'm more partial to city water anyway. Never have to pay that big electric bill or replacing pumps. Sure city water costs but it is so much more convenient. So even if it's a bit of a pain i think it's worth it.

Shouldn't be too big a problem. You'll have to connect to the city supply and then get that to your main feed to the house. Will require a plumber and probably permits.

i had this done about two years ago...

if your well water is good and you arent worried about it drying up, keep it.

the city will completely destroy your yard. we were promised that after the extensive digging, our yard would be restored to the way it was before.

two years later, our yard looks like the moon because it has so many craters in it. and no one will do anything about it.
