How do you get the smell of cigarette smoke out of the air in side your office? The woman in the office next to me smokes in her office and it comes to mine!

Get an air purifier. They make small ones for desks now. Don't use any type of air freshener. They are made in a lab from chemicals that are worse than cigarettes. They don't get rid of a smell. They mask it with scents made out of hazardous things such as toluene, formaldehyde, etc. They will kill you faster than cigarette smoke.

Gosh..where do you work? It's 2006, most work places chased smokers outside years ago. If yours still allows it, you need to band together until you get a no smoking policy. In the meantime the smokeless ash tray would be a small investment that I would consider and it never hurts to have a can of air freshener to spray around. Good Luck.

Cigarette smoke smell is so strong I don't think anything can eliminate it. Talk to your supervisor about the smoking office worker.

Put a fan up blowing the air away from your office.
Also you might want to try to put in an official complaint with your supervisor, since there are laws protecting you.
I am a heavy smoker myself, but would never ever consider smoking in my office knowing it irritates other people. That co-worker is simply ignorant and selfish.

OUST! That stuff is great, it will get rid of any and all odors. If she continues to smoke in her office though it's still going to come over to yours. Just keep a can in your desk and when you smell the cigs, spray the Oust.

Buy her one of those smokeless ashtrays for starter. Then get one of those air purifiers. Other than that tell her you'll break her neck if she keeps it up.
