I had a very strange dream last night and I just don't know how to deconstruct it so that I have some ideas as to what it could mean. First of all, for some reason snakes often appear in my dreams. I really really cannot stand snakes...I can't even see them on TV. Last night in my dream I saw a massive snake (python) in my backyard. I was really scared. I called animal control so that they could pick it up. They did but for some reason they left it on the street. I decided to leave and hopefully it would be gone by the time I came back home. When I did get back, the door to my house was open and the snake was halfway inside my house. I went up to my door to see and my cat had half of it in it's mouth. My cat had eaten the snake and only the tip of the tail was hanging from my cat's mouth. I could see the snakes mouth opening and closing from the cat's belly. It was a disturbing sight. I just don't know why I always dream of snakes. Does anyone have an idea as to what this means?

Well I don't want to be graphic but I can tell you what Freud would say...obvious phallic imagery. A snake & a pussy cat?...

I'm no expert. If you fear snakes then the python could represent anything that you fear. But don't worry, your cat will eat it anyway! Ha ha

Good luck! Sweet dreams...

Hi,
Snakes in dreams may indicate that you are being oppressed or harrassed by lies, deceptions or false accusations. Since this snake was a python, it indicates that these lies may be having the effect of squeezing life out of you.

You first saw this snake in your backyard, which may mean that this is a lie from your past that is still affecting you. You sought help, but these lies are still oppressing you, coming back into your life now (halfway inside your house). Your cat may represent a friend who is trying to deal with the situation on your behalf, but the situation has still not been resolved completely. (The snake's mouth is still opening & closing, even inside your cat's belly.) Hope this helps.

Hi ,okay I use to have many many many dreams about snakes and it was like a warning something bad will happen . Snakes mean enemy's . Be on the look out for something bad to happen when U dream about it . Your cat eating it ? I would say someone is like trying to help u . By the way every time I had a dream about snakes something bad has happened to me the following day and week . The more snakes u see the worse the problem becomes. Think about it have u gotten in to a conflict with someone ? I know I may sound crazy. I never realized until after my 5th dream then I put the peices together .

I think that the events in your dreams are nonsense and cannot be interpreted. However, your emotions in your dream are what you should pay attention to. Your dreams many times just play back familiar emotions and the objects or characters in your dream don't really mean anything. Many times, the same objects or characters show up in your dreams because they are associated with certain emotions. The helplessness and fear for your life you feel in your dreams may be familiar feelings you feel in real life, and maybe the helplessness is what you may currently often feel. Try to figure out what is making you feel so helpless in your life right now and try to gain a little control over what is happening in your life.
On the lighter side, you had your cat in your dream take care of the snake.
On the darker side, it was done in a very disturbing way. Much of real life is disturbing and we wish we could do something about it, but many times are truly helpless in the situation.

The cat is a woman that always tries to do you a favour, but is not honest at the same time and sometimes steals your property. The snake is a danger, a danger inside your house and most probably a woman again. This woman is very beautiful and eyecatching. she is an enemy of you that aproaches you so silently but will finally harm you. This woman is so lovely at the same time.

ive heard that when you dreams of snakes someone is going to betray you. hence the 'snake'. one time i dreamt of 2 pink snakes. and the other one bit me. i learned that days later that someone sort of let the cat out in the bag. but it could just be a concidence besides its not like i felt betrayed. Maybe the cat is someone who keeps saving you from those who will hurt you. but i dont know because i dont really know how to read dreams.

A snake represents the evil in this world. You love your cat and your cat loves you, so in your dream, he/she is trying to protect you from getting entangled and caught in evils grasp. Are you doing something that perhaps you have mixed emotions about? If so, evaluate it. Maybe it's no good. Perhaps you should visit a non-denominational church?

according to indians seeing snakes in your dreams is destiny trying to warn you of a foe. some one close to you is trying to harm you. snakes are a warning. be careful in your dealings with people and try to say your prayers before you leave home.
a group of snakes means lots of enemies to a move that you are about to make, but a single large snake means that someone is trying focus on u.

the good part about your dream is the cat. it shows that your enemy will have another enemy. and that ur opponent is not invincible.
take lots of care and good luck

It means your cat is going to be your source of strength for the days to come. When you are worried or scared about what life throws at you, you always have your cat to comfort you and get you through the hard times.

It means you're spending too much time focusing on what you do not want, rather you should focus on what you do want, thusforth seeing more of it.
