Do you all think minorities commit more crimes that whites? It seems that way.?

Haha. I see all you people getting mad at the question. Anyway, most statistics conclude that minorities make up most of our prison system. That along with the fact they are a smaller portion of the overall U.S. population backs that up. Facts are facts. Someone always wants to play the race card.

To be honest...I think whites commit the most crimes, but you don't hear too much about it due to the fact that they are white. You hear about African Americans or other racial decent, doing something wrong all the time in order to put a bad image out there about them. The only time you hear anything about crimes committed by whites is when several people die in the process...like school or job shootings, serial killers, bombings, and etc. To me crime is crime and it shouldn't be judged as far as what race does the most.

Whilst areas do play a part in the factors more blacks in one place so the crime rates would reflect with the percentages BUT what I do find unfair [and before any one shouts I am white] is that if there is a black man and a white man up for the same crime it is almost certain that the black man will serve time, the white will most likely get a fine, lighter sentence or probation, that just does not seem right or just to me.................. I dont give a toss who committed the crime EVERYONE should serve the same time for the same crime.

Often tho a white person will be able to obtain a better lawyer and as such be better represented again an unjust and unfair situation.

I think that the precentages reported are represented in disproportionate numbers. If minorities do not make a significant portion of the population, then I believe it would be unfair to say they commit more crime. It also depends on the type of crime. Lately, I have seen more Caucasians taking the walk of shame for white-collar crimes against comapnies and the governemnt.

It is true that as a group, whites commit the higher amount of crimes. But whites are also the majority. However, blacks have the highest amount of crimes per population than other races.

I agree it depends where you live. Unfortunately this country still isn't quite right. There are more poor minorities and more uneducated minorities than whites. I'm not being prejudiced, these are statistics. There are definitely poor, uneducated white people, but I'm talking about percentages. It would make sense that poor people would be more likely to commit crime because that's what happens sometimes.

Hello; In Canada it is about even,but it seems gun crime is more on the side of minorities.This new thing with the kids figthing at school and putting it on Internet,they all seem white and not poor kids either.Lets just hope it will all stop,because it does not get anyone anywhere.

Are you from the USA ? If you are the whites are in the minority if you put blacks and orientals in the same group. As far as race Hispanics are considered white.

I dunno man...you may get more minorities committing crimes like robbery and car-jacking, but how many Hispanic or African-American serial killers do you know? And don't forget to count all the corporate execs like the idiots at Enron who bilked people out of millions of dollars...
