Why are we so willing to help poor Iraqis but not poor Mexicans?

We will spend billions to help the people of Iraq have a better country and better future but are opposed to letting Mexicans come here for a better country and a better future, I don't understand it..........

You can say " illegals broke the law " well Iraqis aren't exactly saints or friends of the USA either, and the reason we went there was because they broke international law so why help Iraqis when they break the law but not mexicans?

First of all, Iraqis lived under a brutal dictator who had rape chambers, torture chambers and used chemical weapons on the Kurdish population. Mexicans live in a free and democratic society and the country has a wealth of resources that the government has squandered. As a result, Mexicans live in poverty. Secondly, Iraqis aren't the ones who make up the insurgency, it's mostly terrorists from neighboring countries coming over and causing trouble. Most Iraqis want a better life

I don't understand why Americans are helping any country at all. I don't want my hard earned money going anywhere except to help this country for all it's less fortunate souls who have no home, no food no life of their own and to think that my hard earned money is being bit*ched about and asking why my money isn't going somewhere other then right here is a question that is not making any one happy here.
Iraqis and poor Mexico can fend for themselves as I have and my family too. If your own country doesn't give a toot about it's own people then why take it out on Americans anyway? Ask your own country to do it's job and take care of it's own for a change and stop blaming the U.S.A. for all it's problems again.
I'm also fed up with my honest answers being deleted too because the asker doesn't like what I write so they file abuse against me and have my answers deleted so lets see if this answer gets deleted too.

The overall picture is that mexicans get lots of help from the US. Iraqis get a different help and are on the front page daily.

Because the Mexicans are holding their own. Haven't you ever heard of the Aztlan movement? Here, in Los Angeles the population of Mexicans getting help is about 75%. - 5 welfare babies to every Mexican girl before they turn age 20 = $billions of welfare help.

When the USA has a larger percentage of their population living below the poverty level than those that live above it, you would think they would be more committed to helping their own! But I guess they don't feel as guilty about causing poverty in their homeland as they do about causing it elsewhere.

mmmmmmmm - and how much money have we loaned (given) to Mexico in the last decade or so? Did you know that Mexico's biggest cash cow is the money the illegals send back to their families? Do you see illegals being kicked out of this country en mass? Do you see employers being fined and jailed for hiring these people?
