Or is the teen years just ages 13-19 and does adolescence depend from person to person?

Based on dictionary definition adolescece is between 13 to 19. But it really depends on the person; some people mature faster while some develop later. The specific teen years are more like guidelines since no one is the same. 13-19 is just a very common age range for teens. or practically is depending how you look at it.

I unfortunately know quite a few people in their late 20's that act more like an adolescent than a teenager. It used to refer to the age, now it is about attitude/maturity. It is the age between childhood and adulthood.

Depends, I'm in a human development class and says 14-22. It really depends on how the person has developed. Physical, social, and cognitive (thinking) development all play a large role in determining it.

It's usually earlier then 13. I would think it starts shortly before the onset of puberty and ends by around 18.
