most of science books are facts but some difficult cases theories are used which is some ones opinion
for ex light studies where theories that doesn't make sines till max blank and Ernestine the had the biggest contribution

in order for something to be accepted as true scientifically, it must be shown by experimentation to be true, AND repeatable by others. so opinion is pretty mush ruled out by the scientific method
