Someone once told me that every individual wants to feel loved and wanted, and it's human necessity. Does EVERYONE want to be loved? Why is it human nature if this is true?

Is it just human nature? There are many animals that mate for life...cannot that be love too? I think love is something that our creator gave to us as a gift...a person can love in many ways...and I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume that you don't have kids yet...

there is absolutely nothing in the world to compare to the love you feel when you bond to your baby...sometimes it happens right away sometimes it takes a while. I'll never forget that moment with each of my girls. It absolutely took my breath away. I think I could live without the love from a man, but I know of nothing that could devastate me more than to loose one of my children. I can't even think of it without crying....

I don't know if I have come even close to answering your question. I am sure a sociologist could give you twenty different reasons behind why we love or need love. Maybe it is our need of people in general, the longing to belong and feel secure. It is too big of a question to answer in this area....

Psychology says the greatest human need is the need for approval...There are some "tough guys" and rebels saying they need no one...It is just a defense or a front...There is nothing wrong with being vulnerable...
-As long as the people you are seeking love from are worthy and respect you. -A final note: Some people make this need to be loved and are too selfish in their pursuit...
