Well the Sesame Street characters were my favorite:
The Count, Cookie Monster, Oscar, Bert & Ernie, these were my favorite "muppets" even if they weren't part of the MUppet Show.
However, the whole Band in The Muppet Show was awesome; complete with personalities and a unique, particular, very late 70s disco/rock look to their ensemble.
But my favorite Muppets per se would have to be the Proffessor and his assistant Beeker (or is it Beaker?). Those two really cracked me up, especially when the Professor would take off his glasses to reveal... no eyes!
