Yes, it's true that the sun's rays can reflect off water, sand, concrete, buildings, etc. It's because the UV rays cannot penetrate certain objects, so they bounce off them. Although some of the UV rays can penetrate through water, transparant plastic and glass. So you should always wear a good sunblock all year round (SPF15-30), even on cloudy days, because even in the winter UVA rays (which are the rays responsible for skin damage and ageing) are prevalent and 80% of UV rays can penetrate through cloud! You should also wear sunglasses and a hat during the summer months and on sunny days to further protect yourself. And UV rays are present from dawn till dusk, ie whenever there is sunlight, so you need to protect yourself all day long and top up with sunblock every 2 hours to maintain its effectiveness. HTH : )

you're ok!

wear sunglasses.. don't stay in the sun for long hours without protection and don't worry.

the sun you're to have any concern if any at all about is from the rays you get directly from the sun.

refracted, reflected isn't much so a problem unless you're using a sunreflector to provide a tanning process where the sun can't normally get to.

:D

some moderate sun is a matter of fact good for you.

unless you have a condition where your skin can't protect itself from the UV rays.

or if you're on medication - with this matter though moderate sun is still acceptable.

Water definitely reflects rays, but I don't know about the other things.

I don't know if the rays are NOT harmful during those hours, but I've read that they're most harmful from 11a-4p.

Please use a good sunscreen and a hat/sunglasses, when possible.

All i know is that in summer from at least 10am to 3pm is the worst UV light you can get. To make sure just use your protection before you leave home and dont forget your lips wich is the first place the sun damage to skin starts.

sun rays are not harmful provided you have enough melanin in your skin -this is revealed b your color - actually its the ultraviolet rays that are harmful; if you dont want sunrays on your body you will have to paint yourself but this way you will end up with arsenic poisoning so not worth it.
